Who we are

Anne grew up as a small town girl in Congleton in Cheshire. After much travelling and city life, she now lives in a Pennine village with her son who is seven. Her work has been published in two anthologies – Poet’s Cheshire (Headland) and The Nerve (Virago). Her poetry has appeared in many magazines including Writing Women, Poetry Wales, Quattrocento and RainDog. She has just had a poem shortlisted for the Huddersfield Poetry Competition 2007. Currently finishing an MA at Manchester Metropolitan University, she performs all over the country and is working on her first full-length collection with the support of an award from the Arts Council.
She has developed a specialism in cross-arts projects and has worked with visual artists, a Didj player, sound recordists and printmakers. She loves Halloumi, reading a Sunday paper and Snakeshead Fritillaries. (poet Anne Ridler has a poem about these flowers on the poetry archive web site!) www.poetryarchive.com
